Learning Reflection

Math:in math we did the first exercise, then we did math posters about what we learned last term. I really enjoyed it.

Reading: in reading with Mrs bryant we did the same as usual but with mr gemmel we did nothing. I enjoyed it but I wish we did something with mr gemmel.

Writing: in writing we did nothing, absolutely nothing as we have since we presented speeches.

Math: in math we have been learning about measurement and place value. I have been enjoying them greatly because I am quite good at them. math is one of the subjects I love so why wouldn't I be enjoying it?

Reading: in reading we have been doing plays because of the upcoming production. I absolutely love doing plays, they're so much fun and I'm overjoyed. I love adding expression and knowing I don't just sound plain BORING.

Writing: in writing we have been doing absolutely nothing, but, we know that we're going to learn who won speeches today:)

Writing: In writing we have been writing our own mad libs but I haven’t got much to it. My mad lib is about aliens making contact to Earth. I think it will turn out good

Gymsport: At gymsport I came 5th! I was so amazed, I really like gymsport and, although I always try my best I have never got a placing before, it was so exiting and fun.

Enviro: On enviro day we only got the afternoon with room 3 because they didn’t come in the morning and I don’t know why. Anyway in room three we made pictures of ourselves climbing up to reach the stars of matariki. It was fun.

Room 8: In room 8 we have been learning about the musical elements. There is pitch, high and low, tempo, fast and slow and dynamics, loud and soft. We also learned that as well as genre in reading there is also genre in music.We also learnt about the difference between beat and rhythm. 

Room 9: In room 9 we have been learning about the history of pirongia and the treaty of waitangi. we went for walks around the village to the redoubt and the museum and finally the barracks. after that we made slide shows about what we had learnt on our trips around the village, here is the link for mine:King Tawhiao

Room 10: In room 10 we learnt about how to show integrity. we made up integrity games for the juniors and boy was Mrs Hobbs proud! we also made docs about our games, here is the link for mine Jump under over find

                 Learning Reflection

Reading: Reading is my best and favorite subject. I really like the way that our tasks in reading are really creative. I enjoy reading as it is my favorite thing to do, I also enjoy having the school librarian as my teacher.

Maths: Maths is my 2nd best and favorite subject. I like the group that I’m in because the work that we get is not to hard and it’s not to easy for me. I enjoy the way that maths activities in this class is made exciting and I enjoy maths more in this class.

Writing: Writing is my absolute worst subject. The reason I don’t like writing  is because it’s so different to reading and maths. Although I don’t like writing I like what we’re doing now for writing.

Reading: I really like where I am for reading. I’d like to try and remember to bring my book for book talk more often. I am interested in the authors Judy Blume and Michael Morpurgo.

Maths: I really enjoying the fact that we got to make up maths equations. Unfortunately because of my big equation now dylan calls me bragger, it's actually kind of funny. I felt nervous in the maths pat, i thought i’d never finish in time, but i did. I was very excited when my computer told me i’d won a bronze medal!

Writing: I really do not like writing but Mr Gemmell has made it fun and I am actually starting to enjoy writing, just a little bit, but it’s a start. I guess I made it seem like I was eating fish and chips in my food experience writing but it was actually just chips.

Spelling: My term goal for spelling is list P. sometimes I feel I cannot achieve my goal but if I don’t think I can achieve it it’s silly to set it.

I am 10 years old but will be 11 by the end of the year. I am really exited about my year ahead of me because I am a year 6 :). I have 2 siblings called Rachel and Angus👪 and 9 pets:1 goat 2 chickens and 6 sheep. My favorite colors are blue and purple. My best friends are Keira and Kayla💕.

My Learning Conference

Learning Conference

My term 3 learning conference was way better than my term 1 learning conference, in some ways.

1. I finished my slideshow
2. I was able to explain my learning journey more easily 
3. I had made better progress
4. I had finished most of my work.

As you can see it was way better than my last learning conference. I was a nervous wreck!

Masterchef

My dad's driving me to school. I feel like I'm forgetting something, wait, carrots! It's Wednesday, master chef we gotta turn back for 'em...No Megan, no Thomas, no bread, no lettuce, no tomatoes what are we gonna do - we were gonna make (healthy) hamburgers but how can we without bread (for the buns)-well we can't make hamburgers, what else? It's time to start, we've decided to make a salad instead, including some almonds,peanuts,and raisins from my lunch the other ingredients are carrots, capsicum, cheese, and ham with lemon juice drizzled on top. We didn't win the competition, but the salad was delicious, it was fun!!!
